The providerThe University of St. Gallen has an excellent reputation as an educational institution not only in German-speaking Europe, but also increasingly worldwide. This is documented not least by the fact that it was the first institution in German-speaking Europe to be awarded the AACSB and EQUIS quality seals. With 80 professors, it has the largest business faculty of any university in Central Europe and already boasts an international student body. It has also established itself in the field of lifelong learning in recent years. With its successful full-time MBA (number 4 in the European "Career" rankings), its seven Executive MBAs, its European Master's program and its open and in-house leadership training courses, it already generates around a quarter of its budget in this promising field. How does the Executive School of the University of St. Gallen want to differentiate itself from its competitors? The full name of the school gives the decisive hint: we want to achieve leadership in promising areas through an integrative view of management, technology and law. St. Gallen has a long tradition of holistic management and will make consistent use of this. When, for example, the topic of corporate governance is dealt with in management training today, it is usually only from one of the above perspectives. However, corporate governance can only be dealt with competently if its management aspects are discussed together with their technological and legal implications, and in an integrated rather than additive manner. Only a few business schools in Europe can offer this. We also want to focus primarily on the problems of change in companies, naturally on the solid basis of the new St. Gallen Management Model. The diversity and internationality of our students will be further strengthened, and our (already very international) faculty will be consistently supplemented by internationally active top executives. In all of this, we want to remain small, but fine. Our goal is not quantitative growth, but rather the qualitative expansion of our current tailor-made courses with intensive support. We are also the central point of contact for all interested parties and companies for continuing education, further training at the University of St.Gallen. |
Studying in St. GallenThe eastern Swiss metropolis of St.Gallen has a great past. Its name and origins go back to the founding of the monastery by the wandering monk Gallus around the year 612. And you will encounter the past at every turn as you stroll through the enchanting old town: The world-famous bay windows, the cozy alleyways, the lively squares with friendly street cafés. The great past has created a flourishing present: St.Gallen is modern and cosmopolitan. The imposing baroque cathedral watches over the city, the heart of the abbey district, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. |
