The Zurich School of Design is a competence center for design, media production and color and promotes the creative implementation of communication, the co-design of the environment and the professional production and output of data. In addition to the basic design training courses and the preliminary design course for young people, it offers an attractive range of further education courses and extra-occupational training courses in higher vocational education and training leading to federally recognized qualifications. The recognized certificates, specialist certificates and diplomas in higher vocational education and training enable students at the Vocational School of Design Zurich to take on demanding and responsible tasks and management functions that guarantee lasting benefits for dealing with complex problems in professional practice.

The continuing education courses in the areas of publishing and digital media, photography and film, typography and design, painting and drawing, printing techniques and bookbinding, jewelry and object design pursue a professional standard and lead to a deepening and expansion of skills in technology and design.
