The SAL School for Applied Linguisticshas its registered office inZurich-Altstetten(only a 2-minute walk from Zurich Altstetten railroad station). Since 1969, students and lecturers have been committed to clearly defined performance requirements and quality standards. With its mix of courses, SAL is unique in German-speaking Switzerland. SAL trains both: professional skills and the ability to reflect on the subject. The threeextra-occupational main study programsat SAL are completed on a part-time basis (2 to 3 days of classroom teaching). They last 6 semesters (language courses 4 to 6 semesters). The minimum requirements are a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (including vocational baccalaureate and [technical] baccalaureate) and good knowledge of the mother tongue and the languages of study (level C1). Admission sur dossier is possible.

KDE

The SAL School of Applied Linguistics is a test provider recognized by the Canton of Zurich for the Cantonal German Test (KDE).

 

Continuing education, further training and language coaching

Most SAL courses can also be attended individually as continuing education, further training. There is a wide variety of topics - but the courses are always related to language, literature and society. SAL also offers language coaching for private individuals and companies.
