HFS Dornach is a College of Higher Education for social pedagogy located in the Basel area. Its core program is the federally recognized, practice-integrated training program in social pedagogy (CHE), which can be completed in three years or, under certain conditions, in a shortened two-year program.
Theory, practice, and artistic work form the foundation of the programs offered, and the HFS Dornach sees itself as a vibrant place of encounter.
In addition to the CHE degree program, HFS Dornach offers continuing education and further training courses, as well as conferences and in-house training programs. The content is tailored to practical needs, as HFS Dornach maintains close ties with the field.
Training in social pedagogy CHE
The three-year course in Social Pedagogy CHE was federally recognized by the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation (SERI) on 27 September 2010.
The CHE program is based on the framework curriculum enacted by SERI in 2021 and the school curriculum developed by HFS-Dornach based on that framework.

Shortened training in social pedagogy CHE
The shortened training course in Social Pedagogy CHE is for people with a relevant Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and lasts 2 years.
The training program is offered every two years.

Continuing education, further training: Team leadership - preparation course for the Federal Professional Examination
This continuing education, further training program is designed for group leaders and other professionals who hold leadership roles within their institutions and wish to gain additional qualifications for these responsibilities. It is offered annually by HFS Dornach.
The “Team Leadership” program constitutes the first level of a three-level continuing education, further training model (Level 2: Middle Management Leadership; Level 3: Institutional Leadership). HFS Dornach currently offers Level 1.
