Portrait Postgraduale Studiengänge in Psychotherapie (PSP)

The continuing education, further training provides up-to-date and practice-oriented specialist knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders in various settings.

The course teaches psychotherapeutic interventions, their planning, implementation and evaluation of their effectiveness, as well as the inclusion of relevant aspects of the patient's life history in the therapy.

The focus is on basic clinical-psychotherapeutic skills and disorder-specific skills.

The curriculum is based on the learning theory paradigm and the scientific findings of behavioral therapy, including the 3rd wave, as well as elements and techniques of other psychotherapeutic approaches.

Continuing education, further training is based on the current state of scientific knowledge in clinical psychology and psychotherapy research, as well as its neighboring disciplines (psychopathology, psychophysiology and social sciences).
