The CHE Health Valais is a young, dynamic school with its German-speaking location in Visp. Centrally located and very well connected to public transport from all parts of Switzerland, practical and professional care is taught here.
Various teaching methods and experienced lecturers inspire the prospective nurses in courses of around 25 students. It is possible to choose between a school position or a company position.
Holders of the Federal VET Diploma in Healthcare Specialist can enter the second year of training if they are suitable.

The College of Higher Education Health Valais-Wallis / Nursing CHE course in Visp is a 3-year course (shortened 2-year course possible for healthcare specialists with Federal VET Diploma) leading to the title "Dipl. Pflegefachfrau HF/Dipl. Pflegefachmann HF HF" with a federally recognized diploma. The theoretical knowledge acquired is applied and deepened during practical placements with sick people at different stages of life and from different social and cultural backgrounds. Nursing care (training) covers the following areas of care:
Acute care
Long-term care
Spitex
Rehabilitation
Once you have completed your training, you will be able to quickly assess the care needs of sick people and those in need of care and plan, implement and review the necessary care in collaboration with the intra- and inter-professional team. Your empathy allows you to respond appropriately to the individual needs of patients and their relatives. You are able to integrate yourself into the multi-professional team and help with coordination. .

The course starts in the fall (week 38) and NEW also in the spring (week 12).
Time model
The training takes place 50% in the school learning area and 50% in the practical learning area. A semester in the school learning area of six months is followed by a semester in the practical learning area.
