The association "Trägerschaft eidgenössische Federal Professional Examination E-Commerce Spezialist*in" (TEPEC) assumes all tasks in connection with the conduct of examinations, further development of the certificate, quality assurance, updating of examination regulations and guidelines. It also aims to position and publicize continuing education, further training.
The responsible body is made up of the associations Bildung Retailhandel Schweiz, Handelsverband.swiss and Hanndel Schweiz.

E-commerce specialists set up, operate and further develop online stores or digital platforms for the sale of services or products. They manage and support e-commerce projects and work together with project teams. Together with their team, they take on tasks to optimize the digital product presentation, improve the (digital) purchasing process with the involvement of customers and implement specified marketing activities in the online store or on the digital platform.
