TheTherapeutic massage(Method 33) includes foot reflexology massage and calls:

• 400 hours of method training (including 100 hours of foot reflexology, 150 hours of classical massage, 150 hours of manual lymphatic drainage)
• 340 hours medical basics

In addition to the training hours, the EMR requires an additional 250 hours of internship/patient experience at the time of registration.

The term "foot reflexology therapist" is not listed by the EMR in this form. Foot reflex zones (FRZ) are included in the more general term "reflex zones".

Attention:As soon as the job title or qualification contains the word "therapy", the EMR generally requires more training hours than for the mere "craft" of massage. You can easily recognize this by comparing the two methods No. 163 (reflexology) and No. 240 (reflexology). If you are new to reflexology, it is best to turn to foot reflexology.massage(method no. 81) and thus has the quickest chance of being registered with the EMR. After this training, the qualification in "therapeutic massage" (method no. 33) can be sought, in which foot reflexology is one of three sub-areas.
