Those who continue their education receive financial support
Participants in preparatory courses for the federal examination benefit from financial support from the federal government. After passing the federal examination, up to 50% of the eligible course costs can be reimbursed.
Certain conditions must be met in order for you to benefit from federal contributions:
You have completed a preparatory course for a federal examination
The chosen course must be on the official list of preparatory courses in order for you to apply for federal funding.
You have paid the course fees
Invoices and payment confirmations must be issued in your name.
Important: Keep all invoices and payment confirmations in a safe place.
You have passed the federal examination
The federal contributions can only be applied for after passing the federal examination - regardless of whether the examination has been passed or not.
Important: Keep the audit decision of the audit authority.
You live in Switzerland or Liechtenstein
At the time of the federal examinations, you must be resident in Switzerland or Liechtenstein for tax purposes.
Special regulations apply to persons resident in Liechtenstein. The application is made via the Office for Vocational Training and Career Guidance in Schaan.
Financing through the L-GAV
If you work in a company that is subject to the L-GAV, you will benefit from additional financial support for your continuing education, further training. The contributions are processed directly via Hotel & Gastro formation Switzerland.
Course and examination days count as working days. Your employer will also receive compensation for loss of working hours.
If you do not meet the requirements for federal funding, the L-GAV can also pay the federal contribution under certain conditions.
