CAS Real Estate Valuation
In the "Methodology" module, you will learn the systematic principles of valuing residential and commercial properties. It deals with the determination of individual value elements such as income, costs, interest rate and capitalization as well as the influence of the age of properties on their value with the help of financial mathematical calculations. You will learn the dynamic applications of the valuation elements in the economic and financial mathematical approach, the discounted cash flow, etc. The land register and possible value-relevant entries are shown.
In the "Context" module, you will learn how to calculate and interpret key real estate figures. You will understand hedonic valuation models and statistical evaluations of data. Special legal conditions, as well as different types of ownership and their influence on real estate value are covered. You will be familiar with the principles of building and planning law in order to determine the potential of developed and undeveloped land. You will know what requirements are placed on an appraisal and gain practical knowledge for your profession.
The two modules of the CAS Real Estate Valuation are each completed with a written examination. At the end of the CAS, you will prepare a practical market value appraisal of an individual property in the term paper.
The CAS Real Estate Valuation is held annually in Burgdorf, Muttenz, St. Gallen, Horw and biennially in Mendrisio.
