More than a grammar school - learning for life: Academia International School
Academia International School was founded in Basel in 2009. The location in Zurich opened in 2019, and a third location will open in Winterthur in August 2023. Academia International School offers a bilingual secondary level (7th and 8th school year) and, building on this, the 9th - 12th school year with preparation for the internationally recognized IGCSE and International A Levels qualifications. This international baccalaureate prepares students perfectly for successful studies at universities and Universities around the world.

Academia Matura specializes in study programs tailored to individual needs. For over 10 years, we have been guiding adults and young people individually to the International A Levels. With the International A Levels, the doors of universities and Universities are open to our graduates - in Switzerland and all over the world.

Bilingual secondary school (7th/8th school year)
Our bilingual secondary school in Zurich and Basel opens the doors to various educational pathways for your child: be it the exam-free transfer to our IGCSE and A-level program or the transfer to another school or apprenticeship. We work with all students individually in a caring and respectful learning environment. We encourage them to broaden their horizons - they expand their specialist knowledge and deepen their skills. In small classes, we encourage their strengths, their self-confidence and their love of learning.
English-language grammar school
Our English-language grammar schools in Zurich, Basel and Winterthur lead to International A Levels. This globally recognized qualification opens doors to Universities all over the world. Unlike the Swiss Matura, the A Levels only focus on a broad general education in the first two years. After that, young people can focus entirely on their strengths. In a family environment, we prepare our students for university studies and promote their holistic development.

For more than ten years, we have been guiding adults and young people individually towards the English-language International A Levels.
