Retail Trade Manager AFPE course

The federal qualification "Retail Manager AFPE" is the answer to the retail industry's need for experienced top managers who have the will and skills to take on responsible management positions along the entire retail value chain.

Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE)

Retail managers want to pursue a career in senior management or as a managing director in the retail trade. The focus of this highest federally recognized continuing education, further training in the retail trade is on entrepreneurial thinking and action. In addition to professional networking, there is an intensive exchange with a large number of leaders on current challenges in the retail sector. This innovative and unique course is offered by the retail industry - true to the guiding principle "From the practice - for the practice". Retail managers aim to manage a large sales outlet, a small or medium-sized enterprise, a responsible management position in administration or in a retail supplier company.

Financial investment / federal contributions

The course fees amount to a total of CHF 14,500, including course supervision, teaching materials, course materials and basic module examinations. The course fees are not subject to VAT.

As part of the increased promotion of higher vocational education and training, the federal government has been relying on subject funding for Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) or Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) since January 1, 2018. Students receive 50 % of the training costs reimbursed directly by the federal government.
