What is the difference between a postgraduate course (NDK) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS)?

Postgraduate courses (NDK) are short courses that require a specific qualification.

At Colleges of Higher Education (CHE), several NDKs can lead to the NDS CHE qualification as modules of postgraduate studies in Higher Education (NDS).

CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) is a continuing education degree from a University of Applied Sciences or a university, which is usually credited with 10-15 ECTS credits and usually lasts 1-2 semesters. The term CAS is also increasingly being used by private educational institutions.
