Courses
Training to become an astrologer is not federally regulated. There are various courses (face-to-face and self-study, basic and advanced courses) with large differences in orientation, price and duration. Well-founded training courses last several years and also include supervision.
Course admission
Admission to an astrology foundation course is not subject to any conditions with most providers.
Admission to diploma courses to become an astrologer usually requires attendance of a basic astrology course and sometimes the passing of an aptitude test. As a rule, a completed vocational training is required for these courses.
Degrees / Recognition
Practical experience is usually a prerequisite for graduation. Certificates as an astrologer are subject to the regulations of the training providers. The Swiss Astrologers' Association (SAB) offers quality assurance: It maintains a list of courses on offer and defines the minimum training standards.
