Who are the IT courses for adults and career changers aimed at? Do I belong to the target group?

The "Computer scientist EFZ for career changers" courses are aimed at motivated and capable career changers, young PC talents without IT training and adults with professional experience who are looking for competent training with a recognized qualification to get started in the world of IT.

One of the following requirements must be met for admission to the course:

• Apprenticeship qualification with EFZ (preferably a 4-year apprenticeship)
• High school diploma or recognized commercial school diploma (from a commercial school lasting at least 3 years)
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a computer scientist and at least two years of this in the desired specialization as well as good basic knowledge of computer science

The following are also required:

• Good written and spoken German (level B2 to C1)
• Good knowledge of English
• Experience with Office programs (especially data and spreadsheet programs)
• Interest and good performance in math and science subjects

Personal qualities:

• Quick comprehension and interest in learning new things
• Interest in abstract processes, ability to think about theoretical problems and find solutions
• Willingness to work in a team
• Ability to express yourself orally and in writing
