Qualified fitness and exercise instructors can work in a fitness center and look after customers independently. They work out training programs for healthy people, instruct them in the exercises and correct them if necessary.

Industry certificate
The next level up is the industry certificate "Trainer in Exercise and Health Promotion" (fitness trainer). This gives you a qualification that is recognized throughout Switzerland.
Federally recognized qualifications (BP and HFP)
The industry certificate gives you the opportunity to work towards federally recognized qualifications. This gives you the opportunity to work with customers who have health restrictions or to open your own fitness studio:

You can also continue your education on specific topics, e.g. to keep up to date with new equipment, new training methods and general fitness trends. For example: sustainable fitness nutrition, training with free weights, or training with your own body weight (bodyweight training).
