The three former tracks of the basic commercial apprenticeship: B, E, and M

Until now, the Federal VET Diploma in business administration has been available at three different levels:

  • B-Profile = Basic Profile
  • E-Profile = Advanced Profile for High-Achieving Students
  • M Profile = Advanced Profile with the Federal Vocational Baccalaureate for high-achieving students

These profiles were eliminated as part of the 2023 vocational training reform. The categorization by profile had not proven effective in the labor market.

Starting when the new vocational training regulations take effect in August 2023, apprentices will be able to tailor their apprenticeships to their strengths and interests through elective and specialized courses and document this in a portfolio.
