Logistics specialists with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education can take on management roles in administrative and project management within retail, industrial, and service companies, as well as in freight forwarding and logistics firms. They oversee the administrative processing and execution of tasks and handle challenging responsibilities themselves. They are able to analyze existing logistics processes, propose opportunities for improvement, and plan their implementation. As members of the management team, they are involved in conceptual tasks and help to continuously optimize overall logistics processes. Logistics specialists often serve as a link between the logistics manager and the operational staff. To fulfill this role, they must possess in-depth subject matter expertise as well as methodological and interpersonal skills.
