There are two ways to get a job as an import/export clerk:

  1. As a business administrator, you can gradually take on administrative tasks in a corresponding company and thus grow into this activity "on the job".
  2. You attend an "Import / Export Clerk (formerly Export Clerk)" course, acquire the specialist knowledge for a qualified clerical job and then apply for a suitable and interesting position.

Admission requirements for the courses "Import / Export Clerk":

Participation requires a completed vocational education and training (VET) (usually a commercial apprenticeship).

Further prerequisites for the success of the course are

  • Interest in global political and intercultural issues
  • Enjoying global economic issues
  • Good knowledge of German and good foreign language skills
