Completed a language study trip to Perth / Australia

Why did you decide to go on a language study trip?

First and foremost, it was a dream to travel to Australia. Secondly, to broaden my horizons and improve my English. I wanted to improve my English by attending a school and staying with a host family.

In which country and in which city did your language study trip take place?

In Perth, Western Australia. Perth is the largest city on the west coast of Australia and is very lively and interesting. The surrounding area is also very beautiful and offers many sights.

When did you complete the language study trip? How long did it last?

In March 2010, I went to Perth and attended the Phoenix Academy for 3 months, after which I traveled all over Australia. I also traveled to New Zealand and the Fiji Islands.

How satisfied were you with your language study trip? What did you particularly like?

Very satisfied, I had a very nice and hospitable host family, I felt at home. I can also recommend the Phoenix Academy, the teaching staff were very good, both professionally and on a personal level.

What did the language study trip to Australia do for you personally and for your career?

Personally, I gained a lot from the language study trip. I see the world from a different perspective, I became more open-minded. Professionally, I'm currently on a continuing education, further training course that also requires English, so I have an advantage over my fellow students.

What tips would you give to anyone interested in a language study trip?

You should prepare well and ask yourself the following questions: What do I want? How much should it cost? What can I achieve? What do I want to do after school? I definitely recommend the city of Perth.

Which language study abroad providers have you registered with?

With Kuoni and Globo-study.

How satisfied were you with this provider?

Very good, friendly and helpful. My expectations were met.
