I didn't really know which degree course was right for me. I wanted to use my gap year to get away from home and gain my own experience. My English wasn't that good either, so I really wanted to improve it before I started my studies.
Bournemouth in the south of England, right on the coast.
My language study trip ran from September to December 2013 and lasted 12 weeks.
I was very happy with my language study trip. I particularly liked the fact that my school was relatively small and informal and that the teachers were really interested in helping us improve. I also had a really great host family. I also really liked the town of Bournemouth and the surrounding area.
It has made a lot of things easier for me during my studies, from lectures to the semester abroad. I also notice time and again that a stay abroad and a language diploma are highly valued by companies.
Be open to new things. Take the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world and even if you meet people with whom you can converse in another language, try to speak as much as possible in the language you all want to learn. This way you will learn the most and you won't exclude anyone in your conversation.
Westbourne Academy in Uetikon am See.
Very satisfied. I received detailed personal advice for my needs and I always had a contact person available for everything.
