Wie lange dauert eine Tanzpädagogin Ausbildung?

Je nach gewählter Ausbildung dauert ein Lehrgang zur Tanzpädagogin / zum Tanzpädagogen unterschiedlich lange. So dauert das Masterstudium Dance, Teaching and Coaching Dance Professionals 4 Semester. Die Dauer von Bildungsangeboten mit Abschluss "schuleigenes Zertifikat / Diplom" variiert von Anbieter zu Anbieter. Denn die Kursangebote werden von den Schulen eigenständig festgelegt. So gibt es Kurse, die einige Wochen aber auch mehrere Monate dauern. Zurzeit (Stand 2016) werden keine eidgenössisch anerkannten Ausbildungen zur Tanzpädagogin / zum Tanzpädagogen angeboten. Alternativ könnte jedoch eine Weiterbildung in Bewegungs- und Gesundheitsförderung mit eidgenössischem Fachausweis infrage kommen, sollten Sie grossen Wert auf eine eidgenössische Anerkennung legen.

Benötige ich für eine Ausbildung zur Tanzpädagogin bereits Tanzerfahrung?

Eine Ausbildung zur Tanzpädagogin richtet sich in den meisten Fällen an bereits erfahrene Tänzer, was jedoch von Schule zu Schule sehr unterschiedlich sein kann. So werden bei einer Tanzschule mindestens sechs Jahren Tanzerfahrung von den Teilnehmenden vorausgesetzt, bei einer anderen Tanzschule vor allem ausgebildete Personen im Bewegungsbereich, wie etwa Physiotherapeuten, Bewegungspädagogen, Sportlehrer oder Bewegungstrainer angesprochen. Are there any federally recognized dance teacher training courses?

There are currently (as of 2016) no federally recognized dance teacher training courses on offer. However, continuing education, further training in movement and health promotion with a federal certificate could be an alternative if you attach great importance to federal recognition.

Do I need previous dance experience to train as a dance teacher?

In most cases, dance teacher training is aimed at experienced dancers, although this can vary greatly from school to school. For example, one dance school requires participants to have at least six years of dance experience, while another dance school primarily targets trained people in the field of movement, such as physiotherapists, movement educators, sports teachers or movement trainers.
