A Swiss certified public accountant has the following responsibilities:

• Employment of senior management

The continuing education, further training to become a certified public accountant is designed to take four years and requires the prerequisite modules "Statistics", "Economics", "Quantitative Methods" and "Tax & Legal". The basic training consists of three modules: Audit, Tax & Legal and Accounting & Finance (Corporate Finance, Management & Financial Accounting / Financial Reporting). At the diploma examination level in the Professional Judgement (PJ) module, you will be prepared for the federal diploma examination. Admission to the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for Certified Public Accountants is open to those who hold a Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Fiduciary Accounting, Finance and Accounting, Computer Science or Banking, or a Swiss university degree, a degree from a university of applied sciences or a College of Higher Education, or a Federal Diploma as a Tax Expert, Fiduciary Expert, Accounting and Controlling Expert, Computer Science, Banking Expert or Banker. tax expert, fiduciary expert, accounting and controlling expert, IT specialist, banking specialist or an equivalent qualification. In order to be admitted to the Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (AFPE) as an auditor with a federal diploma, the following is required:

• University degree (University of Applied Sciences or University), Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE), Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) or equivalent qualification

and

• Industry qualification based on the requirements defined by the responsible body or equivalent qualification

and

• At least 4 years of professional experience with at least 4,800 working hours

and

• no entry in the central criminal record that could raise doubts about the candidate's integrity

• Process audits to assess the internal control of the companies
• Samples, tests and inspections
• External confirmations
• Plausibility studies
• Audit of the annual financial statements of companies
• Assessment and evaluation of future opportunities and risks and their potential impact on the future valuation of the company and key asset items
• Preparation of reports, e.g. to the company management or authorities
• contribute as an independent audit body to building confidence and thus to the functioning of the markets
• External advice on company valuations, potential takeovers or reorganizations, internal audits or tax issues
