My name is Luca Mortellaro and I am 25 years old. I am a passionate footballer and striker for FC Bäretswil. I completed my commercial apprenticeship with a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate at Zürcher Kantonalbank. I am currently studying business administration part-time. I work 80% at the bank and am also studying Business Administration CHE with a focus on Banking & Finance. I will soon be graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration UAS with a specialization in Banking & Finance.
Studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration UAS part-time is certainly very time-consuming and therefore a challenge. You have to set priorities somewhere, because I definitely don't have as much free time as I used to. That's why it's all the more important for me to balance things out with football these days. When the weather is as nice as it is today, training is twice as much fun anyway.

I decided to study Business Administration CHE with a focus on Banking & Finance because I have already worked in this profession and can well imagine working in this field in the future. I find the banking sector very interesting and this area has generally changed somewhat over the last few years. I can well imagine completing a Master's degree in this field later on. However, I don't yet know exactly which specialization this will be. My first priority is to complete the Bachelor of Business Administration UAS first and then look at my other options. For example, I could well imagine working in an analytical field.
If someone wants to make a career in banking, I would recommend a Bachelor of Business Administration UAS degree. To do this, it is important to complete a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate during your commercial training. With the vocational baccalaureate, all doors are open to you anyway. The Business Administration CHE course also offers other specializations, because business administration is such a huge field of activity. You can simply see what interests you the most.
The banking industry is huge and there isn't just one or two professions. You should simply be able to do what you enjoy most every day. If you are a numbers person and like working with numbers, then the Business Administration CHE degree with a focus on Banking & Finance is definitely the right choice. The rapid changes and developments in banking and the good career prospects were reason enough for me to choose the well-founded Bachelor of Business Administration (UAS) degree course.
