Company mentor Michael von Ah: Counseling and coaching as a new way of life

Michael von Ah

After a career as a managing director, key account manager and sales consultant in the private sector with many years of coaching and design experience, business economist Michael von Ah decided in 2007 to focus more on coaching, consulting and supervision. To this end, he began further training at the Lernwerksatt Olten to become an FA trainer, which he successfully completed in 2011.

His aim was to professionalize his knowledge transfer skills, meet people with similar profiles, stay up-to-date and establish himself in a new industry.

Diverse expansion of expertise

And that is exactly what he managed to do. Above all, the diverse coaching methods and tools that he was able to get to know in the course of the training are still helpful to him in practice today, as are the methodological and didactic skills taught and the ability to visualize complex content in an understandable and comprehensible way.

Michael von Ah has also always found the learning atmosphere at Lernwerkstatt to be good to very good, so he can highly recommend the educational institute and this FA instructor course. Especially for people who want to develop themselves further and enjoy working in a team.

Well equipped for the future

During this training, Michael von Ah started working as a trainer and course instructor at the Swiss Workers' Relief Association of Central Switzerland (SAH) and - after moving to work integration at the City of Lucerne - began a course in organizational consulting, supervision & coaching and finally, in 2019, further training to become a company mentor FA. Von Ah considers good knowledge of human nature and encouragement to be the most important characteristics that make a good coach and consultant.

Equipped with these qualifications, he can well imagine working in a larger HR department and, for example, coaching and supporting young managers or leading workshops.
