Store managers in the retail trade usually run a retail business independently or take over/open a franchise business, such as a petrol station store, convenience store or similar, and assume the full business risk.

• Completion of a technical or commercial apprenticeship
• Equivalent qualification

The training to become a store manager is not a federally recognized training course, but a specialist training course with the school's own certificate.

Depending on the scope of the training and your choice of school to become a store manager or retail sales manager, you can expect to pay between CHF 2250 and CHF 3250 for continuing education, further training. It is best to ask all the schools you are interested in to send you the training documents and compare the content and structure of the course, objectives, target group, degree, course dates, services and course costs in detail and then make a well-considered decision on which provider to choose.

Training to become a branch manager usually concludes with a so-called school certificate (cert.).
