The training to become a store manager is not a federally recognized training course, but a specialist training course with the school's own certificate.

Courses for prospective store managers are aimed at people from the retail trade who want to prepare themselves for the tasks and challenges of store managers. Store managers in the retail trade usually run a retail business independently or take over/open a franchise business, such as a petrol station store, convenience store or similar, and assume the full business risk.

The duration of the further training courses to become a branch manager is determined independently by the schools, so there may be differences from provider to provider.

Branch management training courses often last a few days. However, there are also courses that last several months and take place on a weekly basis.
