Conflict coach: Confidently lead conflict coaching - thanks to the right training

The purpose of conflict coaching is to use various strategies and methods to help people find their way out of a seemingly hopeless situation or conflict and move towards each other. Conflict coaches work one-to-one with the coachees and help them to view the situation from the neutral perspective of a third party. Simply talking to a neutral third party helps some people in a conflict situation to gain a differentiated view of the problem. In individual discussions with the coachees, the trainer looks for the best possible way to overcome the conflict and develops an approach to discuss the points of contention with the other party.

Conflict coaching can be helpful in a wide variety of situations, whether in the workplace, in divorce proceedings, in post-conflict situations, in families or in business conflicts. The conflict coach then takes on the role of a confidential listener and mediator. An important concern of the conflict coach is to help the coachee to view the situation from all perspectives. Ultimately, it is the coachee and not the conflict coach who is responsible for the outcome and resolution of the conflict, so the conflict coach merely takes on an accompanying role and uses their process skills to bring clarity to the situation.

The conflict coach uses process skills to help the coachee develop more clarity about the situation so that the coachee can effectively and confidently make quality decisions to manage the conflict. Also, the conflict coach can help the coachee rehearse a conversation so that the coachee is ready to enter the conflict resolution discussion more confidently.
