Ich arbeite bereits seit vielen Jahren als Logistiker / Logistikerin und würde nun gerne den Lehrabschluss nachholen. Geht das?

Auch im Erwachsenenalter ist es möglich, das eidg. Fähigkeitszeugnis (EFZ) oder einen gleichwertigen Abschluss nachzuholen. Hierzu werden mind. fünf Jahre Berufserfahrung, davon drei Jahre im Logistikbereich (Teilzeit wird entsprechend angerechnet) vorausgesetzt. Im Rahmen der Nachholbildung für Erwachsene nach Art. 32 BBV bieten diverse Schulen spezielle Vorbereitungskurse an, die Sie als Vorbereitung auf das Qualifikationsverfahren (früher Lehrabschlussprüfung, LAP) nutzen können. Eine weitere Möglichkeit ist das sog. Validierungsverfahren, bei dem bereits erworbene Kompetenzen angerechnet werden, fehlende in Kursen nachgeholt und keine Prüfung abgelegt werden muss.

Werden auch (Grund-)Kurse zum Logistiker / zur Logistikerin angeboten?

Für Interessierte, die als Logistiker/in arbeiten möchten und noch über keine (berufliche) Grundbildung in diesem Bereich verfügen, werden von einigen Schulen Grundkurse in der Logistik angeboten, die Basiswissen vermitteln, praktische Erfahrung in der Logistik in einem betrieblichen Praktikum ermöglichen und einen Staplerkurs mit dem SUVA anerkannten Führerausweis für Staplerfahrer beinhalten.

Ist es für die BP Logistiker/in möglich, eine Fachrichtung zu wählen?

Seit dem 1. Januar 2024 ist die neue Bildungsverordnung und Bildungsplan für das Berufsfeld Logistik in Kraft. Mit dieser Überarbeitung gibt es im Rahmen der beruflichen Grundbildung zum Logistiker EFZ / zur Logistikerin EFZ noch zwei Fachrichtungen: Lager und Distribution. Die Fachrichtung Verkehr verläuft nun als eigenständiger Lehrgang zum Fachmann Bahntransport EFZ / zur Fachfrau Bahntransport EFZ.

Welche Ausbildung brauche ich als Logistiker EFZ / Logistikerin EFZ (ehemals Lagerist/in)?

Für eine Berufstätigkeit als Logistiker/in empfiehlt sich die berufliche Grundbildung zum Logistiker / zur Logistikerin EFZ mit eidgenössischem Fähigkeitszeugnis oder die zweijährige Attestausbildung mit eidgenössischem Berufsattest EBA. Auch eine praktische Ausbildung zum / zur Praktiker/in Logistik PrA ist für Jugendliche mit Lern- oder Leistungsschwäche in diesem Bereich möglich.

I have been working as a logistician for many years and would now like to complete my apprenticeship. Is that possible?

It is also possible to obtain the Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) or an equivalent qualification as an adult. This requires at least five years of professional experience, three years of which must be in the logistics sector (part-time is credited accordingly).

As part of adult education in accordance with Art. 32 BBV, various schools offer special preparatory courses that you can use to prepare for the qualification procedure (formerly the final apprenticeship examination, LAP).

Another option is the so-called validation procedure, in which previously acquired skills are recognized, missing skills are made up for in courses and no examination has to be taken.

Do you also offer (basic) courses for logistics specialists?

For those interested in working as a logistician who do not yet have any (vocational) education and training (VET) in this field, some schools offer basic courses in logistics that impart basic knowledge, provide practical experience in logistics in a company internship and include a forklift truck course with the SUVA-recognized driver's license for forklift truck drivers.

Is it possible for the FPE Logistician to choose a specialization?

The new training ordinance and curriculum for the logistics profession has been in force since January 1, 2024. With this revision, there are now two specializations as part of the vocational education and training (VET) for logistics technicians (Federal VET Diploma): Warehouse and Distribution. The transport specialization now runs as an independent course leading to the Federal VET Diploma in Rail Transport.

What training do I need as a Federal VET Diploma logistics technician (formerly warehouse clerk)?

Vocational education and training (VET) as a logistics specialist with a Federal Certificate of Vocational Education and Training (VET) or a two-year certificate with a Federal Certificate of Vocational Education and Training (VET) is recommended for a career as a logistics specialist. Practical training as a logistics practitioner PrA is also possible for young people with learning or performance difficulties in this area.
