My aim was to refresh and improve my French in order to prepare myself for the start of my studies. I also wanted to immerse myself in a new culture for a while and get to know new, interesting characters from other countries.
After very competent advice from my provider, I decided to go on a language study trip to the southern French city of Montpellier. They didn't promise too much.
My organized language study trip of two weeks began in mid-August 2015. Because I enjoyed it so much, I decided to extend my stay and enjoy the beautiful city a little longer.
I was very satisfied. I was able to attend a renowned language school, meet great people and learn a lot. I should also mention the good food, the perfect weather and the unforgettable turquoise water.
The private French lessons were a personalized, intensive practice program. My private teacher quickly identified my weaknesses and helped me to eliminate them during the lessons. The homework he gave me was very helpful in consolidating what I had learned in class.
The best way to learn a language effectively is to go where the language is spoken. The duration and type of lessons are important points that need to be carefully considered in advance. If you only have a short time, I would definitely recommend private lessons. A language study trip is also a good opportunity to make unusual acquaintances and get involved with their ideas and views. Be happy and open, not only for a cultural experience, but also for many new encounters.
I booked my stay in France through Boa Lingua. As I had only heard good things about Boa Lingua and many of my friends had already had experience with them, it was easy for me to make a choice.
I was very well looked after by Boa Lingua. I received detailed and useful information about my stay in advance. They also checked in with me during my stay and made sure that everything was running smoothly.
