In the courses, graduates learn the basic cosmetic and make-up techniques for women and men of different age groups and for different situations. As a make-up artist, they are able to apply make-up that is tailored to the skin type and needs of a customer, that also matches the customer's color type and clothing style and is appropriate for the occasion. Make-up artists who have successfully completed the course can also apply make-up and hair to models for photo shoots or for the catwalk, or style actors and actresses for their roles with the help of color, wigs and other tools. Some make-up artists also work in department stores, drugstores or for magazines. Others become self-employed and also offer make-up courses.
