The term export clerk is often used as an alternative or former term for today's import and export tasks.

Today, the continuing education, further training "Import / Export Clerk" usually has a broader focus and includes both import and export processes.

Export clerk - professionals for handling all export transactions

The term "export clerk" describes a job in international trade with a focus on export processes. However, modern continuing education, further training courses usually cover both import and export topics together.

This is why the term is used more frequently today: Import / Export Clerk

Continuing education, further trainingImport / Export Clerkimparts comprehensive knowledge in:

  • international goods processing
  • Customs and transportation processes
  • Documentation and trade regulations

Export clerks take care of the administrative processing of export transactions. The sale and shipment of goods and products abroad is very important for Switzerland. Export transactions account for a large proportion of gross domestic product (GDP). Our most important trading partners are other industrialized countries, especially the EU. The most important export sectors are the chemical, pharmaceutical and watchmaking industries.

For Switzerland as an "export nation", it is important that international trading companies have enough competent export specialists at their disposal. The courses are aimed at committed people from all areas of foreign trade: import, export, sales, forwarding, logistics, distribution and supply chain management, as well as lateral entrants and those returning to the industry.

With the "Import / Export Clerk (Cert.) (formerly Export Clerk (Cert.))" course, you will acquire comprehensive knowledge in these areas in a short space of time, gain an overview of the entire export business and be ready to get started. If you are already working in the export sector, you can deepen your knowledge and gain in-depth expertise.

These topics prepare students for their central role in export logistics - from document preparation and customs clearance to the safe delivery of goods abroad.

  • as a measure for the general promotion of young talent

The target group and admission requirements are determined independently by the schools. There may therefore be slight differences from school to school.
