My name is Melanie Krebs and I live in the canton of Zug. Over a year ago I founded my own institute "Naturally Beautiful" and opened it in Rotkreuz. I offer the following there: cosmetic treatment for face and hands, classic massage, cellulite massage and hot stone massage.
I trained as a beautician at the Bella Vita Academy and took courses in classic massage, hot stone and cellulite massage.
I chose the Bella Vita Academy as my training provider for various reasons. The teaching content of the training and further education courses offered and the website appealed to me and also convinced me. Just like the fair prices, which I checked with several providers. Another plus point for me was the proximity to my place of residence. In the end, however, the decisive factor was a pleasant and informative telephone conversation with the school owner.
During my cosmetics training at the Bella Vita Academy, I realized how much I enjoyed giving massages. I really enjoyed it. Learning was easy for me. This gave me the impetus to book the classic massage course after completing the cosmetics course.
I am a person who likes to think "out of the box". This used to make me feel insecure in everyday life because I was often misunderstood or didn't conform to the norm. If you don't go with the flow, you're more likely to get offended. The expertise I gained in classical massage has encouraged me to keep questioning things and not blindly believe in what others say or promise. As a result, I now analyze situations and form my own opinion. In my day-to-day work, the knowledge I have gained from my cosmetics and classic massage training also helps me when choosing products - including those for classic massage - for example, I check the ingredients before I use the cosmetic products, including those I use for classic massage. You also check the ingredients in food, but unfortunately this is often forgotten when it comes to cosmetic products. I now have a better overview of the numerous products on offer and can decide what ingredients are important to me and what I would rather do without.
I get confirmation especially when I finish the treatments. Then I can see the difference between before and after. When customers are happy with the result, are relaxed and make another appointment straight away, then I know I've done a good job. And I'm happy too.
I was impressed by the whole process and the fluid combination of grips during the "classic massage course". A person can be treated with just a few selected movements and the tension can be released. Even during the treatment, I can see the effect of the massage from the appearance of the skin, the customer's posture and the relaxation. In the best case scenario, the person treated leaves my institute feeling like they are "walking on air".
I really liked the structure of the course material in the Classical Massage course. On the one hand there is a lot of theory, but on the other hand it is also put into practice immediately. I also enjoyed the models that were available to us. We were able to practise the anamnesis interview with them and learn their individual stories. The practical work is also based on this knowledge. The "classic massage" treatment specifically addresses the individual needs of the models. This gave me a high level of practical relevance for the subsequent classical massage application.
At the Bella Vita Academy, I was impressed by the fact that the holistic approach is taken into account in every training course. The same applies to classic massage. First of all, the client's medical history is taken to find out about their physical and perhaps emotional issues. I use this knowledge to be able to perform the classic massage individually. This is the only way to release possible tensions and blockages etc. during the practical treatment with the learned movements. The classic massage is a full-body massage that not only works on the back, but also on the neck, legs and feet, arms and hands and finally also the stomach. It is therefore a holistic treatment.
A day on the Classical Massage course always started with theory in the morning. We first learned about the theoretical basics of classic massage, starting with the anatomical and medical context through to the individual massage techniques and the indications and contraindications, and much more. Then, in the afternoon, they worked together and practiced the practical work. From the second day of training, we were joined by external models on which we performed the classic massage, always under the supervision of Carmela Ramundo.
The biggest challenge for me on the classical massage course was my constant need to be present. Because we were a manageable group of four people, it was not possible to just consume knowledge and simply "hide". We were challenged to recognize connections and to network. Questions were not answered immediately by the lecturer in the classical massage course. They were discussed in the group and answers were sought together. Working on the models also needs to be practiced. Every person is an individual and does not simply fit into a predetermined pattern. This can sometimes be challenging, especially at the beginning of the training. I found it easier and easier with practice.
The atmosphere during the "Classical Massage" training was always very cheerful. I always really enjoyed coming to the school - it was never a must, but a can. I could look forward to what the day would bring. Of course, a certain level of seriousness is required to learn classical massage well. Nevertheless, a lively exchange and bringing your own personality is very important in my view. It's not about simply going through a standardized process during this time, but also about actively contributing.
I can speak less of a change that the "classical massage" training has triggered in me. Rather, I would call it an encouragement. I was very encouraged on my path, which I had already started before the training and which I have continued on. It showed me that you don't have to choose just one interest, but that you can pursue several interests, which I already had before the training courses. I was able to combine all my subjects wonderfully and use them holistically.
My further training at the Bella Vita Academy opened up new worlds for me. I was able to start my own business. The classical massage training enabled me to combine one of my other professional interests with the others. I can now use this holistically for the benefit of my clients.
For example, I look after teenagers who already have massive skin problems at around the age of 12. It turned out that they were usually given the wrong instructions by their parents. I would like to turn this into a project. My aim is to offer advice so that young people can help themselves in everyday life. With little tips and tricks from me, they should be able to achieve success in everyday life.
For a classic massage, you certainly need to have a certain interest in people's health. Be an open person who likes to talk to people and is not afraid of physical contact with others.
I would wholeheartedly recommend all the training and further education courses I have completed at the Bella Vita Academy. If you like being taught in a small location and not in a sterile classroom, this is the right place for you. For me, the small groups and the individual lessons speak for the classical massage training at this school. Then all you need is the willingness to go beyond your own limits in order to develop further. The "Classical Massage" course is suitable for anyone who is interested in people, anatomy, the psyche and the holistic treatment of people. A prerequisite is a completed course in medical basics. This course teaches the structure of the human body and its tissues, including the ten main systems. Some of these can be influenced directly with classical massage.
When choosing a school, it is definitely important to make sure that the course content corresponds to your learning needs. In my opinion, the basics of medicine should be part of this. How else are we supposed to be able to work successfully on or with people? For me, it goes without saying that the lecturers must be experienced and have mastered their subject area. If they show a love for people, this rounds off their profile.
