Are you open to new forms of communication, active on social media and work in marketing and communication? Then further training in social media management is a good option for you. Do you also have a nose for interesting topics, good stories and the right choice of words? Then social media management could indeed be the right choice for you.
To build a community and a target group-oriented social media presence, you need strong communication skills, empathy and strong social skills. You should also be flexible, as your day-to-day work will be very dynamic and you will be confronted with new tasks and possible solutions at all times. And finally, a digital working environment requires technical affinity and analytical thinking skills.
Some educational institutions require an apprenticeship qualification (EBA or EFZ), up to 3 years of professional experience and basic knowledge of the platforms. Others only require an interest in the subject area, basic computer skills or perhaps attendance of the school's own basic social media course. You will need to bring your own laptop or tablet to some courses.
