San Ġiljan / Malta graduated

Why did you decide to go on a language study trip?

I wanted to improve my English and plan to go traveling later because I want to discover the world. And also to write song lyrics in English myself, because I really like making music and have only written German lyrics so far.

Where and when did you do your language study trip?

I chose Malta as the destination for my language study trip, more specifically San Ġiljan. The small town is located right by the sea and quite close to the capital Valletta.

I was there for 6 weeks last fall 2018, from September to November. So I was able to extend my summer a little longer, as it was a lot warmer there than here.

How satisfied were you with your language study trip to Malta and what did you particularly like?

Yes, it was a really great experience for me. I lived in a kind of student flat share and was of course able to improve my English in the many conversations with other pupils and students. And in the end, I also made new friends. I was very happy with that.

What did the language study trip to Malta do for you personally and for your professional career?

The certificate I received after completing the course there will certainly give me better career opportunities. At work, where English is required, or when traveling abroad, I can communicate better with people. This was already evident in Malta when you talk to people all the time.

What tips would you give to anyone interested in a language study trip?

Find out in advance about the location of the school and how to get there. I was a bit confused on the first day and had to ask people on the street for directions because I didn't know where the school was. In hindsight, it was also just good practice for speaking English.

Which language travel provider did you use to register for the language study trip to Malta and how satisfied were you with the provider?

I signed up via EF because there was a special offer on the Internet at the time. I was quite happy with the offer. The accommodation was pleasant, only 5 minutes away from the school. I was also satisfied with the organization of EF Sprachaufenthalte.
