I wanted to improve my English and plan to go traveling later because I want to discover the world. And also to write song lyrics in English myself, because I really like making music and have only written German lyrics so far.
I chose Malta as the destination for my language study trip, more specifically San Ġiljan. The small town is located right by the sea and quite close to the capital Valletta.
I was there for 6 weeks last fall 2018, from September to November. So I was able to extend my summer a little longer, as it was a lot warmer there than here.
Yes, it was a really great experience for me. I lived in a kind of student flat share and was of course able to improve my English in the many conversations with other pupils and students. And in the end, I also made new friends. I was very happy with that.
The certificate I received after completing the course there will certainly give me better career opportunities. At work, where English is required, or when traveling abroad, I can communicate better with people. This was already evident in Malta when you talk to people all the time.
Find out in advance about the location of the school and how to get there. I was a bit confused on the first day and had to ask people on the street for directions because I didn't know where the school was. In hindsight, it was also just good practice for speaking English.
I signed up via EF because there was a special offer on the Internet at the time. I was quite happy with the offer. The accommodation was pleasant, only 5 minutes away from the school. I was also satisfied with the organization of EF Sprachaufenthalte.
