Wage increase after completing the "Process Technology (CHE)" course to become a technician for CHE corporate processes (now process technician CHE)

Some graduates of the "Business Processes (CHE)" - "new: Process Technician CHE" degree program achieve a salary increase of up to 20% immediately after completing their studies. That doesn't seem too much. However, some CHE Business Process Technicians (new: CHE Process Technicians) may have already had their salary increased beforehand due to a change of job at the beginning of their studies. Or it could be that some CHE technicians (new: CHE process technicians) were only able to switch to a higher salary level after taking on more management responsibility or demanding project management.

In individual cases, many other criteria play a role, such as the specific employer, the sector and region or your previous training and professional experience. This first salary before studying to become a technician CHE in business processes (now process technician CHE) is around CHF 6,084. After studying, the occupational group in step 3 changes to "Technician CHE, mechanical engineering" - we enter "31 engineering technicians and comparable specialists" and we change the training in step 6 to "Higher vocational training". This results in a new average salary of around CHF 6,738, which is around CHF 654 per month more than before.

Repair and maintenance work is also part of Lea's job, and she carries out various testing and inspection procedures in the laboratory. Lea has exceptional manual dexterity, patience and perseverance. She is also very interested in the company's operational processes and would like to optimize them. In order to acquire the necessary knowledge for this, Lea is completing a three-year continuing education, further training as a technician in business processes CHE (now: process technician CHE) with a specialization in operating technology. Thanks to her continuing education, further training and CHE qualification, Lea is able to make optimum use of existing resources and improve workflows, production processes, information and material flows. The aim is to control processes in such a way as to ensure economical and competitive operations. With the federally recognized diploma, Lea can take on a management function and optimize processes on the basis of cost-benefit analyses. Financial benefits of continuing education, further training as a technician CHE in business processes (new: process technician CHE)

Lea will receive CHF 2,633 more per month as a corporate processes technician (now: process technician CHE) than before and will therefore have at least CHF 1.21 million more at her disposal by the time she retires than if she had not completed this continuing, further training.

As this theoretical calculation does not take into account any further salary increases, promotions or interest on savings, the salary can still increase significantly.
