HR specialist heading for personnel consulting: a profession with excellent future prospects

Just how important good employees are for a company becomes particularly clear time and again when there are only a few of them in a company. While the topics of personnel development and recruitment were significantly neglected by many HR managers until a few years ago, they have now recognized the importance of good personnel management and are increasingly relying on professional support. In small and medium-sized companies, this support usually comes from outside the company and takes the form of a competent HR consultant.

 

Such an expert is responsible for more than just recruiting new employees, although this task is an important part of her job. In many industries, it is extremely difficult to find staff who have the required skills and fit in well with the team and the company. An experienced personnel consultant knows the right approach to recruiting employees and knows the tricks of the trade when it comes to finding the right candidate for each individual company. In addition, she is usually entrusted with other tasks such as employee development, remuneration consulting and personnel marketing.

You will receive financial support from many cantons for your continuing education, further training to become a personnel consultant with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education. Residence under scholarship law applies to the following cantons: Appenzell-Innerroden, Appenzell-Ausserroden, Basel-Land, Fribourg, Glarus, Graubünden, Lucerne, Nidwalden, Obwalden, St. Gallen, Schaffhausen, Solothurn, Schwyz, Ticino, Valais, Zug, Zurich and the Principality of Liechtenstein. Comprehensive information on cantonal contributions can also be obtained from the EDK, the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education.
After completing a course in personnel consulting, you will receive a course certificate from the relevant school on request. Only after passing the Federal Professional Examination will you receive a specialist certificate and then become a personnel consultant with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education. You may then use the following protected title:
  • HR specialist with a federal certificate, specializing in HR management or
  • HR specialist with a federal certificate, specializing in HR consulting
You have the option of choosing between different course and time models for continuing education, further training as a personnel consultant with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education, so that you are sure to find a variant that suits you. Depending on the school, you can choose an afternoon course, a combination of an afternoon course and a Saturday course, an evening course or a combination of an evening and Saturday course. Damit ist man als Quereinsteiger Personalberater / Personalberaterin bestens gerüstet. 

Personal-Berater erkennen selbständig das Stellenangebot von Stellensuchenden und können es mit der Stellennachfrage von Arbeitgebern in Verbindung bringen. Dabei stellen sie sich innerhalb von Branchen und/oder Berufsgruppen auf Stellensuchende mit unterschiedlichen Bedürfnissen sowie auf unterschiedlich organisierte Unternehmen/Organisationen ein. Sie verfügen über gute Kenntnisse im Bereich der beruflichen Weiterbildung. Bei der individuellen Beratung und Betreuung ist Kreativität bei der Lösungsfindung gefragt. Gleichzeitig sind Personalfachleute und Personal-Berater/innen in der Lage, auch mit der Herausforderung der „unfreiwilligen Beratung“ umzugehen. Sie pflegen ein aktives und persönliches Beziehungsnetz zu Unternehmen und potentiellen Arbeitgebern.

Folgende persönliche Fähigkeiten braucht man als Personalberater/in:

  • Führungskompetenz
  • Soziale Kompetenz
  • hohes Verantwortungsbewusstsein
  • mündliche und schriftliche Ausdrucksfähigkeit

In einer Personalberaterin-Ausbildung werden folgende Kompetenzen vermittelt:

  • Stellensuchende gemäss den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des AVIG durch die Arbeitslosigkeit zu begleiten;
  • das Profil und die Kompetenzen der Stellensuchenden systematisch zu analysieren;
  • aufgrund der individuellen Ausgangslage gemeinsam mit den Stellensuchenden eine geeignete und zielführende Strategie für die Stellensuche zu erarbeiten;
  • die Stellenvermittlung von geeigneten Stellensuchenden mit konkreten Zielen aktiv zu begleiten und den Erfolg regelmässig zu evaluieren;
  • Stellensuchende bei der Stellensuche und/oder bei bestehenden Mehrfachproblematiken professionell und kompetent zu beraten;
  • die Arbeitsmarkt- und Vermittlungsfähigkeit der Stellensuchenden durch den Einsatz geeigneter arbeitsmarktlicher Massnahmen (AMM) individuell zu erhalten und zu fördern;
  • proaktiv ein Netzwerk von potentiellen Arbeitgebern in der Region aufzubauen, zu pflegen und diesen entsprechende Dienstleistungen anzubieten;
  • Unternehmen bei (Massen-)Entlassungen zu unterstützen und zu beraten;
  • die Arbeitsmarktsituation zu analysieren und spezifische Chancen, Schwierigkeiten und umweltrelevante Trends zu identifizieren;
  • üben ihre Beratungstätigkeit auf der Grundlage eines professionellen, systematischen Beratungsansatzes aus;
  • Informationen verständlich strukturieren und präsentieren;
  • die hoheitlichen Aufgaben des AVIG wahrzunehmen und Missbräuche zu bekämpfen.

Grundsätzlich gut, tolle Lehrmittel. Einige sehr tolle Dozenten. Da es keine gesamtschweizerischen eigentlichen Lehrbücher für den Lehrgang HR-Fachleute gibt, finde es schwierig, ob in den Lehrmitteln alles so abgebildet ist, wie es an der Prüfung verlangt wird. Dies liegt aber am Lehrgang und nicht an der AKAD. Sinnvoll wäre es, wenn es für den Lehrgang einheitliche Unterlagen gäbe.

Insgesamt bin ich mit der Weitierbildung bei der Akad zufrieden. Aufrund von Corona mussten leider viele Kurse online durchgeführt werden. Zweisemestriger Kurs zum HR Fachfrau/Fachmann (Dienstagabend in Zürich). Ich würde die Ausbildung wieder bei AKAD machen. Die Lehrbücher fand ich sehr gut für den grossen Anteil Selbststudium. Das Modell mit einem Abend pro Woche passte gut in meine berufliche und familiäre Situation. Man wurde gut auf die Prüfungen vorbereitet! Sehr gut fand ich auch die interne Vorprüfung! Im Grossen und Ganzen bin ich zufrieden mit dem Lehrgang und der Schule. Fragen wurden immer relativ zügig beantwortet und ich hatte immer eine Anlaufstelle dafür. Persönlich hätte ich mir die Online Meetings anders vorgestellt und fände dies für die Zukunft auch gut noch ein wenig zu überdenken. Eventuell müssen doch 2 Online Meetings pro Monat (und zeitlich länger) stattfinden, damit einerseits mehr an Wissen transferiert und geschult werden kann und andererseits auch ein Austausch unter den Studierenden gewährleistet wird. Auch für die intensivere Prüfungsvorbereitung - vor allem mündlich - wäre der eine oder andere Austausch mehr noch hilfreich gewesen. Hier tappte man eher im dunkeln, bis zur internen Probeprüfung. Ob es nun an den Prüfungen definitiv klappt, sei noch dahingestellt.

Mehr Online-Möglichkeiten anbieten und ein Online-Portal erstellen, wo alles geteilt werden kann und auch "Online-Prüfungen" praktiziert werden können, da die eidg. Prüfung ja auch am Computer durchgeführt wird. Einige Dozierende haben sich besonders für die mündliche Vorbereitung sehr für uns Zeit genommen. Bei anderen Lehrern liess vorallem der mündliche Unterricht während Corona zu wünschen übrig. Bücher waren nicht optimal.

Es gibt Stimmen, die diesen Lehrgang nicht mehr an der Wkv Wetzikon besuchen würden. Die Kursleiter waren alles in allem gut. Der Lehrgangsleiter würde sich besser stellen, wenn er seine Unterlagen, welche er als Muster abgibt ins Reine schreiben würde, anstatt einfach alles zu schwärzen was man nicht sehen darf. Dies käme professioneller daher. Aber vielleicht ändert er jetzt gewisse Dokumente oder Inhalte, da er nun mehr Zeit hat, seit er pensioniert ist. Wäre Schade, wenn die Weiterbildung nicht regelmässig durchgeführt werden kann. Denn ich schätze es, dass das Wkv Wetzikon solche kaufmännischen Weiterbildungen in der Nähe anbiete und man nicht gleich in die Stadt muss.

Bisher ein sehr guter Lehrgang. Die Dozierenden setzen den nötigen Druck auf, damit das Lerntempo gehalten werden kann. Ich finde ich war zum Zeitpunkt der Prüfung sehr gut vorbereitet. Falls ich Fragen hatte konnte ich jederzeit mit den Dozenten in Kontakt treten. Bis auf das Sekretariat und die z.T. überflüssig gekauften Lehrmittel bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der Schule. Bei den Lehrmitteln sollte man sich besser mit den Dozenten absprechen. Einige Dozenten benützen keine der gekauften Bücher im Unterricht, finde ich sehr schade und rausgeschmissenes Geld. Die selbst geschriebenen Skripts sind sehr gut und reichen aus um den Stoff zu lernen. Da könnte man evtl. das Fachbuch als Empfehlung aufführen jedoch nicht als notwendig. So kann jeder selber entscheiden ob er es braucht.
